Galway Guide ("we") is the data controller for personal data collected through galwayguide.ie. We are based in Ireland and comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Acts 1988–2018.

What we collect

• Details you give us in forms: event submissions, review requests, contact messages and newsletter sign-ups (name, email, phone, business details).
• The date and time you gave consent on each form.
• Anonymous page-view and link-click counts. We do not store IP addresses or set tracking cookies for these.

Why we use it (legal basis)

• To review and publish events and respond to enquiries – legitimate interests and steps at your request.
• To send our newsletter – your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Who we share it with

We use trusted processors to host the website and data within the EU/EEA or under appropriate safeguards. We never sell your data.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your data, and to data portability. Contact us via the contact page. You may also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
